Launched in 2010, Charles Heston is the brand of the Les Six Coteaux cooperative, founded in 1951 in the Saint-Thierry massif, northwest of Reims and owner of a fabulous 110-hectare vineyard managed by more than 100 winemakers that extends over 7 typically Champagne terroirs: Pouillon, Villers-Franqueux, Thil, Saint-Thierry, Merfy, Brimont and Hermonville.Archaeological research has confirmed the existence of vineyards as early as the Gallo-Roman era and in the 13th century, vine cultivation was governed by the community of monks of Saint-Thierry and the abbey had as many as 9 presses.
