MAS DE LAVAIL - Maury (Pyrenees Orientales)
The Domaine Mas de Lavail is superbly located in a natural corridor between the hills of the Corbières and the crests of the Pyrenees, near the "Cathar" castle of Queribus, on flint soil whose particularity is that it retains the heat of the sun of the day to return it at night with great benefit to the wines produced there.
The estate, taken over in 1999 by Marie Laure Battle together with her husband Jean and her children Nicolas and Sophie, consists of 80 hectares of vineyards grown partly in organic farming and partly in sustainable agriculture.
