It all began more than 30 years ago, in the Cucugnan valley, a place where the high-altitude Mediterranean climate meets a light Atlantic influence. Since 2019, the vineyard has been managed by Alexander Sichel, grandson of Peter Sichel, who, sharing his grandfather's love for the Cucugnan valley and its winemaking potential, decided to pay homage to him by renaming the property "Domaine Peter Sichel".Alexander Sichel rethought the entire vision of the property, reducing the vineyard surface area by 50%, taking care to preserve the best plots of vines, with an altitude varying between 200 and 500 meters above sea level, and proposing a new local wine declared IGP Pays de Cucugnan, obtaining a high-quality product. Furthermore, the desire to evolve with the times and affirm the environmental values of the estate led that same year to a conversion to organic and biodynamic agriculture.
