The term "Classic" on a label refers to the old, historic, native core of a region, often with a history dating back to Roman times. It is in these historic vineyards that the best wines of a region are often produced.
Very intense ruby red color with purple reflections. Wide and complex bouquet with intense aromas of ripe red fruit, currant jam, licorice, withered flowers and spices. In the mouth, it is structured, soft, velvety, tannic and persistent.
IN THE VINEYARD
Grapes: Corvina Veronese, Rondinella
Vinification: Amarone is obtained from selected bunches, dried for a period of 3-4 months in well-ventilated and dry rooms. The drying favors the extraordinary concentration of sugars, tannins, extracts and glycerin. Between January and February the grapes are pressed, then left to ferment in contact with the skins for a period of about 40 days in steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
Aging: 3 years in large 20 - 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels
