VINTAGE 2017

Grapes: 100% Pinot Nero

Production area: La Côte de Beaune

Exposure: East / South-East

Land: the south-east facing town of "Bressandes" is located in the heart of des Cortons, halfway up the hill. It is one of the most famous locations. The vineyards are planted on clayey-calcareous soil, on crumbling rock (lava), with red and stony soil.

Vinification: the manual harvest is de-stemmed in vats and ferments in open tanks for 18 days. Pre-fermentation maceration from 6 to 7 days, with daily punching down and pumping over. The wine is then transferred to barrels for 18 months, of which 15% in new barrels.

Aging potential: 5-20 years. Patience will be rewarded!

Alcoholic content: 13.5% vol.

Tasting Notes: Dark red color. On the nose, in its youth, you can feel fresh red fruits evolving towards aromas of undergrowth with age. The very soft structure supports a very dense, fleshy wine with a lot of power and richness. Corton Bressandes may be relatively "closed" in his early youth. It marks its belonging to the Grands Crus through the expression of a range of flavors released later at the end of the mouth. It is on the spot "Bressandes" that we find the most elegant Cortons.

Pairing: It goes well with red meats, game and aged cheeses.

Serving temperature: 17-18 ° C

Bourgogne Aujourd'hui says: wine of great power on the nose with notes of blackberry, violet and black cherry jam; in the mouth the wine is ready, with great richness and aromatic volume
