Founded in 1874 by Edmond Barnaut—a company with over 150 years of history—the Barnaut winery is one of the pioneers of Champagne production.

The Barnaut winery is located in the heart of Champagne, in the municipality of Bouzy—a grand cru commune in the Montagne de Reims (kingdom of Pinot Noir). Bouzy is one of 17 grand cru communes in Champagne out of a total of 319. The Montagne de Reims is a crescent-shaped promontory that embraces the city of Reims, with scrubland and forests and elevations that, despite its name, never exceed 300 meters. In the grand cru village of Bouzy, Pinot Noir expresses its full potential. Since 1874, the Barnaut winery has been run by the same family, now in its sixth generation, with an independent and modern vision. Each bottle of Barnaut champagne respects time, expresses the terroir, offers a powerful character typical of Bouzy and represents the excellence of the Champagne terroir.
