Vini bio

Giovanni Almondo was the owner of a small farm devoted not only to viticulture, but also to the cultivation of fruit and, in a small part, to livestock. In 1980 his son Domenico, after graduating in agricultural sciences, decides to make wine and bottle Arneis, Nebbiolo and Barbera. The production of the first year is about 1500 bottles, the result of about 2 hectares of vineyards. After a few years, in 1984, exports began to the United States, then to Switzerland and Germany. While the interest from importers and operators in the sector grows, the winery grows, with significant expansions and the acquisition of new land and vineyards. The current production is 80-90.0000 bottles, of which 55.000 of Arneis, 7.000 of Barbera, 20.000 of Nebbiolo, 5.000 of Brachetto and about 1.000 of Freisa. The extension of the cultivated land amounts to 15 hectares of vineyards, located entirely in the territory of the municipality of Montà d’Alba.
